Affiliate Disclosure

Macrofacet costs money to write and host, and is free to read. This page explains where that money comes from, so you can judge the course with the arrangement in view rather than discovering it later.

The arrangement in one paragraph

ABAJ CZ s.r.o., the publisher of this site, takes part in an affiliate programme for one game, Raid: Shadow Legends. Certain links in the course carry a tracking code. If you follow one of those links, register on the vendor's landing page, install the game and launch the tutorial, the affiliate network that operates the link pays us a commission. If you follow the link and do none of those things, we are paid nothing.

What it costs you

Nothing. You are not charged for following the link, and no price you see is higher because of our code. The commission is paid by the vendor through the network, out of its own marketing budget, for bringing it a new player. Your side of the transaction is identical either way.

Where the links appear

There are four of them, each in a place where the product is relevant to what the step is doing.

Every one of them has a line directly beneath it saying it is paid. Each points straight at the destination, visible in your browser's status bar before you click, with no redirect of ours in between. There are none on the homepage, the checklists page, the About page or any footer.

What we actually say about the product

We describe it from the vendor's own published description and stop there. The course offers no opinion on whether the game is good, ranks it against nothing, quotes no score and reports no test. Where the vendor does not publish a fact — system requirements, file size, the odds on randomised rewards — the course says so rather than inventing a figure.

What decides the course content instead

Three things. First, what a beginner has to decide and in what order: the five steps are sequenced so each decision arrives after the information needed to make it, which is why the hardware check precedes any choice of product and the spending rule precedes installation. Second, what can be sourced: where an Australian body is the authority on a point, the course links to it rather than paraphrasing, and where nothing can be sourced it says the question is open. Third, what a reader can verify independently on their own machine. Nobody at the vendor or the network has seen this course before publication or can ask for a word of it to be changed.

None of that has anything to do with commission. Apply the obvious test: read the course imagining the links removed, and see whether it still tells you what you needed. If it does not, it has failed on its own terms, and we would rather hear about it at info@macrofacet.online than not.

You can finish the course without clicking anything

Every step, checklist and conclusion works with no link followed and no game installed. A reader who finishes all five steps, decides the category is not for them and closes the tab has used this site exactly as intended.

What we receive, and what we do not

What comes back from the network is a commission report: aggregate figures used to reconcile what we are owed. We neither receive nor want information identifying individual readers. What happens on the vendor's site after you arrive is governed by its notices, not ours. Our own position is in the Privacy Policy and the Cookie Policy: no cookies, no tracking, nothing collected from you.

Trademarks

All brand names on Macrofacet, Raid: Shadow Legends among them, are the property of their owners. Except for the paid affiliate links described on our funding page, none of those owners is affiliated with Macrofacet, and none has endorsed or sponsored it.

Macrofacet is not an official site, an authorised source, a partner, a reseller or a representative of any game vendor.
